How can I check my Internet speed?

Once you have connected to the Internet you can move your mouse over your connection in the taskbar (bottom right of your desktop) and it will tell you what you connected at. Even though you have a fast connection the Internet may seem really really really s-l-o-w or really really fast.

Whether you are using a cable modem, an asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL), digital subscriber line (DSL), integrated services digital network (ISDN) connection, or just a plain old dial-up modem, an Internet Speed Test will give you the answer. To have your connection tested visit one of these sites at:

1) http://es54074.easystreet.com/speedtest/

2) http://webservices.cnet.com/bandwidth/

3) http://www.turbowave.com/support/speed/speedtest50kb.asp

4) http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest

5) http://home.austin.rr.com/bc/bandwidth.htm

There are many sites that will test your connection and the above 5 were just chosen at random.
